When asked about his idea of patriotism, the Tanvi The Great actor answered, “I think being compassionate towards human beings and human lives. I've never taken pride in just being from one nation. I'd like to believe that I'm the child of the world. So, I'm as compassionate towards any other nation as much as I'm in love with India myself.”

We further asked Karan if he feels a sense of responsibility when playing such characters. He remarked, “I necessarily don't take that responsibility as a burden to perform my character. Of course, the minute you are donning a uniform or doing anything related to government services, there is a responsibility. But as an actor, I never take the responsibility for it. I enjoy it. And I like to see the person behind the uniform and play that character.”
Karan Tacker on freedom of expression
We further prodded him about his idea of freedom and independence in today's time. To this, he answered, “I think the freedom of thinking and expressing the way you think is what freedom means to me.”
Karan elaborated, “There's nothing to do with today's time. I feel like, when you are a celebrated figure, be it an actor or any kind of celebrity, it's only smart to be cognizant of what you are saying. Sometimes things can be misconstrued through the lens through which someone is listening to it or viewing it. So, I think at any given time, when you are a figure in front of the media all the time, it's nice to just be self-aware and self-regulated.”
