Actress Janhvi Kapoor kept up with tradition as she visited Tirumala to ring in her birthday. The actress, who has strong faith in Lord Balaji, often visits the Tirupati temple to seek blessings. As she turned 29, the actress sought the blessings of the lord by climbing up a holy mountain barefoot.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor kick-started her 29th birthday celebrations in a religious way as she offered prayers at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
She commenced her pilgrimage from Alipiri and reached Tirumala early this morning, visiting the revered shrine of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. She reached the temple barefoot. Reportedly, the climb up was over 3000 steps and the actress completed the climb overnight.
She also met with fellow devotees and posed for pictures at their request.
On the morning of her birthday, Janhvi Kapoor had a VIP break darshan of Lord Venkateswara. She was blessed by Vedic scholars at the Ranganayakula Mandapam with traditional chants, and temple authorities presented her with sacred teertha prasadam.

The actress had three releases last year. She played a pivotal role in the film Homebound directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The film was the official entry from India for the Oscars. However, the film did not make it to the shortlist. She was also seen in the film Param Sundari which narrated the story of a North Indian boy and South Indian girl falling in love. Janhvi played the role of a Malayalee girl in the film. However, the film was criticised for stereotyping South Indians.
Janhvi was also seen in the film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which also starred Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra.
Meanwhile, Janhvi will be seen sharing screen space with Ram Charan in Peddi. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, 'Peddi' also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under his banner, Vriddhi Cinemas, and in collaboration with leading production house Mythri Movie Makers, the film is scheduled for release on April 30.
