Jigra: Alia Bhatt will be co-producing this film as well as headlining this project directed by Vasan Bala

Alia Bhatt has had a great year on the film front. After the success of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', a Hollywood debut and bagging the National Award for 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', fans were wondering what she will be doing next. And now, Bhatt has announced her next project.
Alia Bhatt has joined hands with director Vasan Bala for the first time for a film titled Jigra. Not only will the actress be seen as the protagonist, she is also the co-priducer of the film along with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. A short teser vidoe was also unveiled while annucing the title and release date of the film. The teaser had voice over of Alia Bhatt where eh addressing her sibling and talking about protecting them. The teaser also shows an animated version of Alia Bhatt standing in the rain with an intense look.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in the Hollywood film 'Heart Of Stone' alongside Gal Gadot. She played the antagonist in the film, which marked her first in such a role. Before that, Alia was seen as Rani in Karan Johar's directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' opposite Ranveer Singh. The film received much love and praise, both critically and from the audience. Alia had made her debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's directorial 'Student Of The Year' and marked her 10th year in the industry with a romantic family drama with Johar. Now, she is all set to produce a film with Johar's production house. Bhatt had turned producer in 2022 with the film 'Darlings'. She had announced her production house titled 'Eternal Sunshine'.
