What'su00a0it about: Danny Maccabbee (Sandler) is a plastic surgeon, who is also something of a player. He has intermittent affairs and reels sympathetic women in with the story of a marriage gone wrong. This is a regular thing and the only woman aware of this is his secretary/ office assistant Katherine Murphy (Aniston).
All is well until Danny has a chance meeting and connects with a much younger school teacher Palmer (Decker). They end up having sex and the next morning she finds a ring in his pocket. She assumes he's married and is hiding it from her. She storms out. Danny realises that Palmer is the 'one' and rushes to woo her, but in stead of telling her the truth, says he's getting a divorce from his wife. She insists on meeting the woman and he gets Katherine to play the part. Sound awfully familiar? Well, that's because this film was previously remade as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Cactus Flower was the original screen adaptation. Watch those two movies and you'll know where this one is headed.

What's hot: Most Sandler flicks are safe bets for both audiences and producers. You know he'll go a little overboard with fart jokes and slanted digs at folks but nowhere as gross as the Farellys. This usually tends to work in his favour and usually gets him casting coups in the form of Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman in a lowbrow farce. No mean feat this, given Jen's penchant for romcoms and Nicole's love for drama.
Brooklyn Decker is gorgeous and it is easy to see why Adam's character Danny would fall for a girl like her. Kind of reminds you how the likes of Govinda and Rishi kept making films through the 90s with much younger actresses. Some of those films actually went on to become hits.
Coming back to the film, Adam and Jen share a fresh chemistry that shows in the film's later reels. Hawaii is just an excuse to can in wonderful shots of the landscape.
