Kala Hiran producer Amit Jani took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share that actor Salman Khan had sent him a legal notice over the upcoming film. The movie is reportedly based on the actor's 1998 blackbuck poaching case. However, after receiving the legal notice, Jani has broken his silence, revealing that there's nothing against Salman in the film.

Salman Khan’s legal team sent a notice to the makers of Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy, claiming that the film is based on the actor’s ongoing blackbuck poaching case. The notice sought an immediate halt to the film’s release and also demanded the removal of all posters and promotional material associated with the project. The notice also further warns of legal action if the makers fail to comply with the demands.
