Kanika Dhillon’s upcoming Netflix film Gandhari has landed in a plagiarism controversy after Mumbai-based writer Raghav Desai reportedly alleged that its script was similar to one he had pitched in 2024. However, Kathha Pictures has strongly denied the claims, calling the allegations false, baseless and unverified.

Kanika Dhillon reacts to Gandhari plagiarism claims

Reportedly, a Mumbai-based writer, Raghav Desai, had claimed that he had pitched a similar script to the makers back in 2024 and alleged that the script was copied and is being used under the name of writer and producer Kanika Dhillon. However, the production house, Kathha Pictures, has now issued a statement clarifying that the allegations are false and baseless.
