Karisma Kapoor was snapped arriving in Delhi on Wednesday. She is in the capital with her two children, Samaira and Kiaan Kapoor. Her visit coincides with the ongoing property dispute over her late ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's large holdings. Sunjay died on June 12 this year. In airport videos, Karisma is seen wearing casually in an oversized white shirt and blue pants. She kept her hair open and wore sunglasses. Samaira donned a black top with pants, and Kiaan wore a white T-shirt and shorts.
Karisma reaches Delhi amid Sunjay Kapur's family dispute over inheritance
Karisma's travel to Delhi has prompted suspicion because of the date. A bitter court dispute is currently raging within Sunjay Kapur's family over his reputed Rs 30,000 crore estate. According to multiple sources, Karisma is not involved in any property disputes. However, it has been suggested that Karisma and Sunjay's children, Samaira and Kiaan, are the real heirs to the late industrialist's estate.
Meanwhile, Sunjay's widow, Priya Sachdev, was recently named as a 'non-executive director' of Sona Comstar by the board. Interestingly, during the estate struggle, Priya altered her Instagram identity to 'Priya Sunjay Kapur' before deleting her accounts. Amid this, Sona Comstar sent a cease and desist notice to Rani Kapur for allegedly making false claims regarding the inheritance.
Rani Kapur speaks about her son Sunjay's demise
Sunjay's mother, Rani Kapur, added to the continuing court battle by questioning the circumstances behind her son's murder. Sunjay passed away in June from cardiac arrest after swallowing a bee while playing polo in England.
Earlier, Rani Kapur spoke to ANI about her son's sudden demise, "I still don’t know what happened to my son. I’m old now, and I need closure before I go. I may be old and frail, but my memory of being with my husband when Sona was set up is strong. I remember the early days of Sona, built with care, sacrifice, and love. I’m here to remind the world that our family legacy must not be lost. It must be passed on as my husband always wanted it to be. Given my health and my age, I will not be making any further comments. My legal team will address everything necessary."
