Amid countless reports claiming Katrina Kaif is expecting her first child, the actress has confirmed her pregnancy with husband Vicky Kaushal. The rumours of the actress being pregnant had been doing the rounds for a while now. The rumours recently caught steam after a post announcing their pregnancy emerged. Although the post was fake, other reports claimed that the couple will welcome their child in October or November this year. A few days ago, a picture of Katrina and her baby bump also went viral on the internet.

Katrina took to Instagram to share an adorable post announcing that she is pregnant with her first child with husband Vicky Kaushal. The post included their hands holding a black and white polaroid photo of the couple embracing her baby bump.

In the caption, she wrote, "On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude," followed by a folded hands emoji. As soon as the couple shared the joint post, fans, well-wishers and industry fans began congratulating the couple and sending their love in the comment section.

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's love story reportedly started after they met at Zoya Akhtar's party, where they connected. Katrina was also impressed by Vicky's talent in the film Manmarziyaan when Anand L Rai showed her a promo of the film. Their love eventually bloomed; however, they kept their relationship private until their marriage.
The two tied the knot in a dreamy fairytale three-day wedding ceremony attended by their close friends and family at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan on December 9, 2021.
Reports of Katrina's pregnancy have emerged multiple times over the years. However, they always turn out to be just a rumour. The speculations caught steam on July 30, when a video of the actress and Vicky at a ferry port in Mumbai went viral online. She was seen dressed in an oversized white shirt along with baggy pants. Katrina’s casual, oversized outfit and careful walk further ignited speculations that she was expecting.
The rumour, however, hit its peak on August 7, when a viral post announced that Vicky and Katrina were expecting their first child in October or November. Later, it was realised that the post was fan-made and was not shared by Katrina, Vicky, or their close circle. Nevertheless, now with the couple officially announcing the news, their fans are over the moon.
