Salman Khan's upcoming war drama Maatrubhumi continues to be in limbo as the film continues to await approval from the censor board over its China angle. The film was initially scheduled to release on April 17, 2026

Salman Khan's much-awaited war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace is currently facing delays. The film, which was initially scheduled to release in April 2026, is still awaiting a green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Amid the delays, recently, some reports claimed that the Salman Khan-starrer was scheduled for a CBFC screening next week. However, according to the latest reports, there has been no such development yet and the film continues to be in limbo.
Maatrubhumi stuck over China angle
According to Bollywood Hungama, a source told them, “I wish these reports were true. But with a heavy heart, I'd like to inform you that there has sadly been no update about its CBFC screening. The film is still stuck due to its China connection.”
