On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, renowned yoga expert, author, and wellness advocate Ira Trivedi announced that she is expecting her first child with husband, film producer Madhu Mantena. The couple shared the joyful news on social media, marking a beautiful new chapter in their lives. Several celebs congratulated the couple as they are set to embrace a new chapter.

On Wednesday, Ira Trivedi shared a carousel of maternity shoot pictures as she announced her pregnancy. The couple twinned in white as they posed against a serene beach backdrop. Ira looked stunning in a high-neck black ruffled gown as she cradled her baby bump. Sharing the announcement, Ira wrote, “Our life in bloom. The expectant parents were showered with love from industry peers and friends. “How beautiful,” gushed Hrithik Roshan. Echoing a similar sentiment, Mrunal Thakur shared, “Omgggggggggg congratulations.” Richa Chadha and Rajkummar Rao also extended their heartiest congratulations to the couple.

About Ira and Madhu Mantena

Ira Trivedi is a leading contemporary yoga practitioner and Yoga Acharya, known for her classical Hatha yoga practice and deeply personalised teaching style. She has been recognised among the BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women and Verve’s 50 Most Influential Women in India.

Madhu Mantena is a prominent name in Indian cinema, having produced critically and commercially successful films such as Ghajini, Queen, Masaan, and Super 30, as well as the widely celebrated series Sacred Games. Recently, he was in the news after being one of the producers backing Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. However, he stepped away from the project due to monetary issues.

The couple tied the knot in June 2023 in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. Before Ira, Mantena was married to designer Masaba Gupta. The two got divorced in 2019. Opening up about her separation, Masaba once said, “Everyone has a perception if you are divorced. I got so busy with work that I didn’t even have the time to realise what was happening in my personal life. I had my own way of dealing with it.”
