The trailer for Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3 has been released, and it has the actress's police character, Shivani Shivaji Roy, searching for a horrible criminal who kidnaps, traffics, and forces young girls to beg. Amma turns into a ruthless villain


The trailer for Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3 has created a lot of excitement, much of it is focused on Amma, the film's terrifying adversary. Audiences are uneasy about the figure, which has sparked interest in the person who played the horrific part. That actress is Mallika Prasad, a well-known performer with a career in theater, television, and film. Amma is one of the most unsettling villains in the series because Mallika, who is renowned for her intensity, range, and creative depth, adds a unique gravitas to Mardaani 3.

Who is Mallika Prasad?

Actor, director, and filmmaker Mallika Prasad's work is based on creating compelling stories. She has done a great deal of work in theater, television, and movies and has won multiple National Awards for both directing and acting. Leading parts in Kanooru Heggadithi (1999), Devi Ahilya Bai (2003), and Doosra (2006) are among her most well-known cinema roles. She also made an appearance in Kanoor Ki Thakurani early in her career before becoming a powerful force in the acting industry.

Mallika, who was born in Bangalore, earned a postgraduate diploma in acting from the National School of Drama in Delhi after completing her master's degree in performance making at Goldsmiths College in London. Later, she rose to prominence on local television by playing the lead in shows like Megha-Mayoori, Garva, and Guptagamini. She starred in Nagakanikke, a Kannada serial that received the Best Kannada Serial award in 2017.

Her acclaimed work

She has directed Brian Friel's Translations and performed the solo performance Hidden in Plain Sight, which debuted in London and went on to win the Infallibles Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also won the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre National Award and the Charles Wallace India Trust Scholars' Research Grant. She acted as Zubeida in Killer Soup and collaborated with DJ Mohabbat on Anurag Kashyap's Almost Pyaar.
