There are times when this film seems like a prolonged boisterous Punjabi music video. Or even a feature film-length Maruti commercial. But if you can manage to ignore the continuous bhangra beats thumping in the background, the implausibility of parts of the plot, and the moral unease at a father-in-law gifting a car to his son-in-law on his wedding day, Mere Dad Ki Maruti could also be a lot of fun.
