Mithun Chakraborty has gifted his son Mimoh a luxury car. This is his reward for finally losing weight after working out and dieting for over a year.

The Jimmy actor was almost touching the 100 kg mark on the weighing scale. Now he has shed 20 kg but still wants to lose more.



Take charge, boy!

"Dad had been after my case for a long time. He would tell me to starve or take a magical pill, but get rid of 'that fat'. He would push me and say, 'before you turn 25 this year take charge of your life and more importantly, your body."

The car arrived in the wee hours of the morning when Mimoh was still asleep. "My father is an early riser and often wakes up at our Madh Island home to see the sunrise. That auspicious morning he told me and my brother Rimoh and sisters Namashi and Dishani to get out of our bed. As soon as we arrived in the compound, I was shocked to see the spanking new wheels."

Mithun Jr could not contain his joy. "It was a big surprise for me. Dad would tell me he would reward me with a car if I lost weight but I did not know that it would be a Merc!" Mimoh and his family went for a spin immediately. "It was an exhilarating experience. We kids couldn't stop screaming in delight."

Manic gymmer

For over a year, Mimoh has been gymming and working out like a maniac. A few months ago, the star son consulted dietician Sarita Davre who has several B-Town folk as her clients. "Finally, I have knocked it all off. Most people don't recognise me in my slimmer self. My golden locks have also gone."

While looking forward to the release of Sunil Shetty's Loot, the actor-in-waiting is learning kickboxing and various forms of dance. "I have also started playing squash to keep fit."
