There are bad films and then there are films that shouldn't have been made in the first place. Cigarette Ki Tarah effortlessly falls into the latter category

Movie review: Cigarette Ki Tarah

It has absolutely nothing to tickle human senses.u00a0The only positive that emerges out of this retinal disaster is it ultimately comes to an end. However, if you are one of those who enjoy hamming, this movie will provide you with unlimited cheap laughs.

Based in scenic Goa, the plot of this so-called romantic thriller tries to thicken but it never does. Our wannabe hero (Bhoop Yaduvanshi) gets embroiled in a murder he didn’t commit and at the same time, he has a love story to take care of with our wannabe heroine (Madhurima Tuli).

And on top of that, he has to act! Needless to mention, he’s not able to do justice to any of the aforementioned tasks. Keeping up with him, his leading co-stars are equally inept except for Prashant Narayanan who comes close to what could be called acting.

If there’s an award for the worst dialogues between onscreen lovers, we won’t have to look far. Imagination must have gone on a holiday while this film’s writers were at work. The utter disregard to standards couldn’t have been more vivid. But then, there is nothing to hinge on so the entire structure falls beautifully.

No offence but some movies take cinema to its fag end and obstruct constructive criticism. It’s a pity that such films get released because somebody has money while better ones don’t because somebody doesn’t. u00a0
