I always wanted this,&quot; Johar, who turned 40 May 25, said. <img alt="Karan Johar" src="/imagedata/2012/jun/Karan-Johar-2_1.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 707px; " /> Karan Johar From Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu to Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan and Jaya Bachchan - Bollywood&#39;s who&#39;s who had tip-toed into the bash at a suburban hotel. &quot;At the lack of having a wedding opportunity, where everybody comes dressed and you want all those photographs in an album somewhere, I just thought I would make the 40th birthday an excuse to call all the people I have interacted with in my 15-year career in the industry,&quot; Johar said. &quot;I always wanted them to be well-dressed and well-turned-out, so I wanted a red carpet, black tie bash, and that&#39;s what I did. It&#39;s been my biggest hit so far - my party,&quot; he added. As a director, Johar is credited with films like &#39;Kuch Kuch Hota Hai&#39;, &#39;Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham&#39;, &#39;Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna&#39; and &#39;My Name Is Khan&#39;. Now he is busy working on his next &#39;Student Of The Year&#39;, and has also signed up to judge dance reality show &#39;Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa&#39;, going on air on Saturday.
