Days after Abhijeet Bhattacharya took a dig at Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi, accusing him of lip-syncing, his son Gurdeep Mehndi has responded to the remarks. Addressing the audience during a recent live performance, Gurdeep defended his father and expressed disappointment over Abhijeet's remarks.

While on stage, Gurdeep addressed the audience in Hindi, “You will be glad to know that I am singing live. There is no lip-syncing, all thanks to my father, Daler Mehndi. Because that is what I have learnt from him: that one must always sing live.”
