Param Gill, an American director of Indian origin, known for Hollywood film, Going to America, has acquired the rights for a biopic on well-known politician, Pappu Yadav.

The film is based on a book penned by Amarnath Jha, who has also written the screenplay of the project. Talking about why he chose to make a film on Yadav, Gill says, &ldquo;The crests and troughs in the politician&rsquo;s life make for a perfect commercial potboiler. He fought for the rights of the backward caste and the world needs to know his story.&rdquo;
The casting of the film is underway and will be finalised soon.
