&quot;I guess our films lack good Indian dances. I want to do a Indian dance soon in one of my films,&quot; the 27-year-old said. <img alt="Sonam Kapoor" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/nov/Sonam-Kapoor.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 839px;" /> Sonam Kapoor Sonam also says that she hardly gets to see Indian dances in Bollywood films and the last one which she liked was Deepika Padukone&#39;s performance in &#39;Om Shanti Om&#39; and Katrina Kaif in the song &#39;Chikni Chameli&#39;. &quot;The last one which I liked was Deepika&#39;s dance in &#39;Om Shanti Om&#39; and Katrina in &#39;Chikni Chameli&#39; song was also amazing. There is nothing which I remember after that,&quot; she said. Talking about her background in dancing, Sonam said she is a trained classical dancer and has been studying dance for a while now. &quot;I started studying classical dance when I was four-year-old. I have been studying it for a while,&quot; she said. Sonam has been busy shooting films for the last couple of years and has not been able to practice her dance. She hopes that she will get the chance to use her dance training someday in her work. &quot;I want to do Indian dance in films. I have not been dancing at all for the last three- four years as I have been working so much. But I love dancing and hopefully I will be able to start working for it again,&quot; said Kapoor. Sonam says that she does not choose simple roles to shift the focus of the audience from her fashion sense to acting skills. &quot;All the actresses are doing it (following fashion, styling) now. After I started doing it all of them started doing it. So maybe it (fashion side) is working some way or the other or else why would everybody do that,&quot; Sonam said. After a string of flops including &#39;Thank You&#39;, &#39;Mausam&#39;, and &#39;Players&#39;, Sonam is now gearing up for Anand L Rai&#39;s &#39;Raanjhanaa&#39; where she is seen essaying the role of a girl next door. &quot;I enjoy acting so much that I don&#39;t think if I do a simple role, people will focus more on my acting. I think that is what the character in &#39;Raanjhanaa&#39; is and that is what I did. I am not preempting or planning something it is just the character that I like and I did what it required for me to do,&quot; she said. The 27-year-old is looking forward to two other big projects - &#39;Bhaag Milkha Bhaag&#39; and &#39;Khoobsurat&#39; remake - besides a YRF untitled film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. In &#39;Khoobsurat&#39; remake, Sonam is playing a free-spirited girl and says the film is the modern interpretation of Rekha starrer Hrishikesh Mukherjee&#39;s 1980 hit. Her sister Rhea is producing the film. Its her second film after &#39;Aisha&#39;. &quot;I am a fan of Rekhaji. I am obsessed with her. I have already met Rekhaji. Our film is not inspired by the original one. The essence of it is inspired but the story, the idea is completely different. The energy that she (Rekha) had in the film we are trying to capture the energy that her character had in the film,&quot; Sonam said. Sonam insists this film has nothing to do with the earlier part. She would be happy if Rekha does a cameo in the movie. &quot;I would love it if she does a cameo. But that is in my sister&#39;s hand. I am just an actor there. I have been told I suit the role and to do it. I don&#39;t have any demands. In my family, production company and other companies my demands are never given into,&quot; she said. Sonam looks quite excited about her next release &#39;Bhaag Milkha Bhaag&#39; where she plays the love interest of filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar. &quot;It was possibly the best working experience that I have had with anybody. His style of working is extremely nice. He is so dedicated and professional. He is an actor when he is on sets and he did not try to be a director,&quot; she said. &quot;He became Milkha. He has played the role so nicely that I only saw Milkha in him I did not see Farhan. And that transformation (from his real self to Milkha) is incredible. He is a genius - be it in directing, producing or writing lyrics or acting. &quot;I am happy and fortunate to get the opportunity to work with talented people like Farhan, Ayushmann and Dhanush. All three of them are insanely talented I have learnt so much from them,&quot; she added.
