Pahlaj Nihalani, who took the reigns over from Leela Samson as the Censor Board chief has been perhaps, the most controversial chief ever.
Pahlaj Nihalan is a self-acclaimed supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and moral police, as well. He has been known to make comments on people's personal lives to choices and that reflects why he treats the Censor Board as his fiefdom. His views are 'sanskari' and even a little bit of progressive dialogues or scenes in films, make him squirm. He has unfairly banned scenes and dialogues in films, which he claimed were 'indecent' and 'not in good taste', but the man also suffers from incorrigible foot-in-the-mouth disease.
