Pati Patni Aur Woh Do has opened to mixed but largely entertaining reactions, describing the Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan starrer as a lighthearted romantic comedy packed with confusion, chaos, and humour. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh and features an ensemble cast including Wamiqa Gabbi, Rakul Preet Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Tigmanshu Dhulia.
What keeps the audience hooked?
The film generated strong buzz before release because of its quirky trailer, chartbuster songs, and the fresh pairing of Ayushmann and Sara. The comedy entertainer had the potential to become one of the season’s major theatrical crowd-pullers. However, the film has garnered mixed reactions for its performances, storyline, and most importantly, comic timing. Ayushmann Khurrana barely manages to keep his accent intact while still delivering an entertaining comic performance. Sara Ali Khan steals the spotlight by building up the confusion that drives the plot forward. Rakul Preet Singh’s efforts to stay true to the accent as Nilofer Khan are slightly noticeable. Wamiqa Gabbi plays the ambitious wife who ends up investigating her husband’s scandal.
