The actress shines bright in the trailer of the movie with her quirkiness and hot and sizzling looks throughout the trailer. In the movie, Ananya is playing the role of a very mature character who has an affair with a married man.&nbsp;

The actress is playing the part well with utmost glamour and mesmerizing looks.&nbsp;Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film was previously touted to be a remake of the classic 1978 Hindi film of the same name.&nbsp;While Kartik Aaryan will play the role of Chintu Tyagi, Bhumi Pednekar plays his's wife Vedika Tripathi's role.

In an <a title="Ananya Panday: Our roles are more developed than those in original" href="https://www.mid-day.com/articles/ananya-panday-our-roles-are-more-developed-than-those-in-original/21950178" target="_blank">exclusive interview to mid-day</a>, Ananya said that she believes revisiting the 1978 comedy, is an apt decision given that the subject of love triangles is "universal". "The generation of that decade could relate to it, and today's generation will associate with our version of the film," she said.
She also explained that while the makers have retained the essence of the original, the writers have given greater agency to the female protagonists, in keeping with the current times. "In the past, women didn't have such strong characters. In our film, Bhumi and I have prominent roles. Our characters are more developed [than those in the original]. [You'll see that] through our dialogues as well. Showcasing empowered women is inspirational", she concluded.

The actress debuted with 'Student of the Year 2' and has been hailed as a teen sensation by her fans! The actress has been hailed by many in the industry and by the audience for starting the 'So Positive' DSR initiative that aims to tackle social media bullying and to create a safe space for victims of social media bullying.&nbsp;
The actress will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh which is all slated to release in December 2019 and Khaali Peeli which is Ananya's next project alongside Ishaan Khatter, all set to hit the theatres on the 12th of June 2020.
