Apart from spending the day with the actor, the highest bidder will also have a chance to discuss movies and production aspects with the star.

Says Anil, "I hope people bid big time. I don't mind spending a day with even 150 people for this cause. I trust the NGO completely and can vouch for them."

Kapoor has been associated with Plan India since 2006 and has been the key person to put together their events for various projects.

Birth certificates

"I was part of Plan India's drive to educate parents how important it is to make birth certificates for their children. In our country, there are still so many kids who have no records of their births."

As part of his support drive, Kapoor will be visiting the Plan Project in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, on January 16. "Plan India has taken up the cause of child abuse on a major scale. They've launched programmes to make people realise how it affects a child's psyche. Stopping child abuse is a major agenda for Plan India."

The actor adds that by supporting the NGO's cause, he is doing his bit to make people aware about the rights of a child.

Celeb-related auctions are a popular trend internationally but in India it's still catching up. Ebay does not charge any fees for charity auctions and at the same time creates awareness for the NGO and its cause through marketing.
