<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/prateik-babbar-all" target="_blank">Prateik Babbar</a> has got engaged to girlfriend Sanya Sagar in Lucknow on Monday, on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. It was a close-knit affair, with only a few friends and close family members being part of the event.
According to <a href="https://mumbaimirror.indiatimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/prateik-babbar-sanya-sagar-engaged/articleshow/62612499.cms" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mumbai Mirror</a>, "The couple got engaged on Monday at Sanya's farmhouse in Lucknow. His fianc&eacute;e, who is known for her culinary skills, had arranged for a seven-course Lucknowi meal, which included rajma, Prateik's favourite dish." The report also stated that&nbsp;Prateik and Sanya haven't yet decided the wedding date as Prateik&nbsp;wants to enjoy the courtship period. The couple might opt for a temple or a beach wedding a year or two later.&nbsp;
Sanya Sagar, who is a 27-year-old writer-director-editor, hails from Lucknow and is a politician's daughter. She has graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in fashion communication and has also done a one-year diploma in practical filmmaking from the London Film Academy. Sanya has worked as a production assistant on the Danny Huston-starrer, 'The Last Photograph', and as a production runner on the Salma Hayek short, 11th Hour.
The couple has known each other for over eight years, however, they started dating after Sanya returned from London last year in January. The couple has been spotted on multiple occasions at their dinner dates ever since.
Prateik took to Instagram and quirkily made the announcement:
