Actress Priety Zinta recently penned a long, emotional note for her team, Punjab Kings, following their heartbreaking loss to RCB at the IPL 2025 finals

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has finally broken her silence on the heartbreaking loss of her team, Punjab Kings, in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team played exceptionally well throughout the tournament and even made it to the finals, however, they ended up losing at the hands of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The actress who was spotted at all of her team's matches cheering them, penned an emotional note as the team lost the finals. In her note, she mentioned that the job was ‘half done’ and that they’ll return next year.

The Veer Zara actress took to her Instagram to share an image of all the players of the Punjab Kings team, headed by cricketer Shreyas Iyer. She captioned the post saying, "It didn’t end the way we wanted it to but….the journey was spectacular! It was exciting, entertaining & it was inspiring. I loved the fight & the grit our young team, our shers showed throughout the tournament.”

Hailing the skipper and thanking fans for their support she wrote, “I loved the way our captain, our Sarpanch lead from the front & how Indian uncapped players dominated this IPL! (sic)." “I am so proud of each n every player of Punjab Kings for showing so much character throughout the tournament. A big thank you to each of them and to our support staff and everyone at PBKS for an incredible season. Most of all a HEARTFELT THANK YOU 🙏 to our - SHER SQUAD - our FANS that stood with us through thick n thin. Whatever we are & how far we have reached is all because of you (sic),” she added.

Finally, the team owner concluded, “I promise we will come back to finish the job cuz as of now the job is still half done. See you next year in the stadium, till then take care n stay safe everyone. Love you all” (sic)

For the unversed, after giving a tough fight in the nail-biting finals, Punjab Kings lost the match to RCB by merely 6 runs at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
