Prem Chopra gets discharged

Veteran actor Prem Chopra has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after being admitted for chest congestion on November 8. According to the actor's family, Prem Chopra returned home on Saturday after receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital.

Earlier, Dr. Jalil Parker said in a statement, "Prem Chopra ji was admitted to Lilavati Hospital two days ago under his family cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale. He has a heart issue and also developed a viral infection and lung infection, for which I am also the treating physician in the same team. He is not in the ICU; he is in the ward, and he is not critical.”

He further mentioned, "He has age-related issues, and that is why it takes time for an elderly gentleman to recover. He is 92 years old, so he should be discharged in another 2–3 days. He is stable."

About Prem Chopra

Known for his iconic villainous roles across decades of Hindi cinema, Chopra’s illustrious career spans over six decades with memorable performances in films such as Upkar (1967), Bobby (1973), Do Anjaane (1976), Dostana (1980), Kranti (1981), Phool Bane Angaray (1991), Tridev (1989), and Raja Babu (1994). With his signature dialogue — “Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra” — he remains one of Bollywood’s most enduring screen legends.

Even though the actor has played negative roles in his films, anyone who knows him can confirm that he has a warm and gentle personality in real life.

The news comes following the admission of Dharmendra, who was reportedly put on a ventilator as he was suffering from breathing difficulties. His son, actor Sunny Deol’s team has issued a statement saying that the actor is currently under observation. Dharmendra is receiving treatment at home, and the family has urged paparazzi and media to maintain privacy.
