Tell us about your collection. A. A Summer Affair is influenced by the romanticism that exists in today&rsquo;s age where layers and boundaries are surpassed, the young in love are distracted and are expressing their individuality. Summer 2014 for me is about the feelings and emotions this modern day romance evokes.

What&rsquo;s the USP of this edition&rsquo;s collection? A. Silhouettes are inspired by the easiness of summer like the dress kurta &mdash; a versatile silhouette that can be worn with slim pants to a evening party or just with a scarf for a summer brunch. Zip sarees, where the zip is a statement-making accessory. Men can try bold prints and shirt kurta that is a hybrid of two classic silhouettes. The colour palette ranges from deep blue to beige to blush pinks and pristine whites. Q. Your play with detailing...? A. This collection is high on luxurious detailing. We have used a lot of thread work&nbsp; interwoven with zardosi that took us more than two and a half months to put together along with different textures. We also have deep pockets in summer lehengas that spell comfort and make a statement.&nbsp; Q. Summer dressing according to you... A. Summer style is all about comfort and easiness while it continues to be high on glamour and distinctiveness.
What else is creating a buzz? &gt;&gt; One of the most sought after UK high street brands, Dorothy Perkins, will be presenting a show at LFW. Actress Kangna Ranaut will don the collection and walk the ramp at the show &gt;&gt; After making waves across the globe, Ninja Singh, will be seen strutting at the LFW. The 5 feet 11 inch stunner has modelled for Balenciaga&rsquo;s Fall 2013 lookbook, walked for New York Fashion Week and was the India winner of Ford Supermodel of the World contest in 2011

Look out for the young guns Karleo: Two designers and friends, Karan Berry and Leon Vaz, have fused their individual energies to co-found, Karleo. In their LFW collection, vintage and new will be mixed. The collection draws inspiration from Audrey Hepburn&rsquo;s classic Hollywood glamour meets Halle Berry&rsquo;s modern, edgy style in outfits. <img src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/2014/mar/Summer-Resort-.jpg" alt="" /> A design by Karleo Sayantan Sarkar: His collection is inspired by the emotion of love and draws from myriad abstractions like refracted rays of light and shadow and tessellated arrangements of flowers. The range will include jumpsuits, dresses, jackets and draped trousers among other items. Urvashi Joneja: She has worked under veteran designer Rajesh Pratap Singh and will bring forward Unchained, a collection that stems from the sudden urge for freedom brought about by excess restrictions and rules. Form draping, deconstruction and patternmaking are key components of this collection. &lsquo;I was waiting for the right moment&rsquo; Fashion designer Gaurav Gupta has been a choice for red carpet appearances at both national and international events. However, this will be his first showcase at the fashion week in the city and adding some bling to his outfits will be jewellery by UK-based accessory designer Mawi Keivom.

My collection is titled Memphire and it comes from the word Memphis. I had been researching on Egypt (and feeling very Egyptian), and had been fascinated by their culture their ideas on re-birth, etc. The collection is going to be a journey of an alien from Egypt. Q. What colours will dominate your collection? A. There will be a lot of gold, copper, bronze, orange and fluid, sexy gowns, jumpsuits, sari gowns, futuristic yet primitive. Q. Why such a late debut? A. Because I am shy (laughs). I was waiting for the right moment and I didn&rsquo;t want to do a ramp show just for the sake of doing it. I am more into couture, red carpet and with all the appearances my gowns have been making, I have been happy with the exposure.
