Director Priyadarshan recently broke his silence on the poor box-office performance of his latest film, Haiwaan. The veteran filmmaker shared that the film starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan may have faced a disappointing fate at the box office, but it has not left him disillusioned.

Notably, the thriller, which marked the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 17 years, was released on September 11, 2026. The film had an underwhelming theatrical run. While talking to Hindustan Times, the director reacted to its performance saying, “I have seen enough hits and flops in a career of 48 years and 98 films. I still survived, it’s part of the game."
