Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently celebrated a glamorous Diwali in London. During her time there, she spoke at length about the festival of lights in an interview with British Vogue, and also shared which Bollywood film of hers she would recommend to people unfamiliar with her work.

Priyanka's Bollywood recommendation

When asked which of her films she’d suggest to a first-time viewer, the Quantico star smiled and revealed, “I only know this one because my husband recommends this movie of mine, who has not seen maybe some Bollywood movies. It is Dil Dhadakne Do, and most of my friends who have not seen Bollywood movies love it. So that is a good one, I think.”

Dil Dhadakne Do is a 2015 film directed by Zoya Akhtar. It featured an ensemble cast including Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, and Shefali Shah. The film follows the dysfunctional Mehra family on a cruise trip that turns into a voyage of self-realisation and emotional healing. The film was both a critical and commercial success, earning around Rs 145 crore worldwide on an estimated budget of Rs 58 crore.

Priyanka Chopra's daughter Malti's Diwali celebration

Priyanka also provided an insight into the Diwali celebration of her little bundle of joy, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Taking to the Stories section of her Instagram handle, Priyanka uploaded a photo from the Diwali party she hosted at her U.S. home.

The photo showed little Malti dressed in a yellow top and skirt, her hair tied into pigtails as she stood with her back facing the camera, accompanied by some friends. A female, most likely Priyanka, stood near the children dressed in a white outfit.

The toddler was also seen holding a toy in one hand while being occupied with something else. A beautiful tattoo on her arm was also visible in the photograph. The room was decorated with flower garlands. Dropping the still on social media, Priyanka wrote, "Malti's Diwali party was lit…."

Priyanka Chopra's upcoming projects

Talking about her film work, Priyanka was last seen in Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller, starring Idris Elba and John Cena as the UK Prime Minister and US President, respectively.

She will next be seen sharing screen space with Mahesh Babu in the upcoming tentatively titled film SSMB29. Additionally, she has been roped in for the latest installment of the popular franchise Krrish 4, marking Hrithik Roshan’s debut as a director.

The 42-year-old actress will also portray a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in the forthcoming swashbuckler action drama, The Bluff.
