Ramayana, one of the most anticipated films, saw Ranbir Kapoor’s look unveiled on Hanuman Jayanti, sparking excitement among fans. At the teaser launch, the actor opened up about balancing the role with fatherhood, sharing how his daughter Raha’s curiosity about the epic has made the journey even more special and personal.

Ranbir Kapoor on Raha’s reaction to Ramayana

At the recently held teaser launch in LA, Ranbir told AP, “I was extremely blessed to have this opportunity, which coincided with the time I became a father. Just to go home—and my daughter is three and a half now—on one side, I’m going to work and playing Lord Ram, but I’m also going home and telling her stories about the Ramayana.”

“Just to see a three-and-a-half-year-old so engaged and asking, ‘Did you shoot with Hanuman today? Did you shoot with Sita today? What did you shoot today?’ She has so much interest in the story, which says a lot. It’s in our DNA. The culture is so seeped into our subconscious that the interest and the love come very naturally to us. We want that to appeal to a global audience and showcase something that we have believed in for centuries and will continue to believe in for centuries,” the actor added.

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The project is mounted on a large scale and is planned as a multi-part cinematic adaptation of the epic. The film is backed by major production houses and is positioned as a high-budget project aimed at both domestic and global audiences, with an emphasis on technical scale, casting, and visual presentation.
