Trust the Ram Leela actor to do the unconventional. If the latest buzz is to be believed, Ranveer Singh recently checked into a suburban five-star hotel in the city to prepare himself for his character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali&rsquo;s period romance, Bajirao Mastani.

A source says, &ldquo;Ranveer was staying in a hotel as he wanted to be alone and concentrate on his role for his next film based on the love story between Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife, Mastani.&rdquo;
A source close to the actor says, &ldquo;Ranveer has always been appreciated by all the filmmakers he has worked with for his sincerity and hard work. He decided to shift to a hotel because he wanted to be completely prepared for his role which is very tough and challenging. He stayed there for four to five days and is back home now.&rdquo;
A hotel official also confirmed the news, stating, &ldquo;Ranveer had requested us not to reveal any information about his stay. He would mostly be inside his room. Only a few close friends and people associated with the film used to visit him.&rdquo;
Ranveer&rsquo;s spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
