A week later, Mohd Rafi fell victim to heart attack. The following week, on August 7, Vrajendra Gaur passed away. Much to the industry&rsquo;s relief, nothing fatal happened on August 14, 1980.

Though Vrajendra Gaur passed away at the age of 55 several years ago, he's still remembered for penning numerous films like Kati Patang, Anuraag, Sharmeelee, China Town, The Great Gambler, Bimal Roy's Parineeta and Howrah Bridge, amongst others
