When asked about her journey of bagging Son Of Sardaar 2, the actress gushes, “I still remember auditioning and forgetting about it because I’d given so many auditions without hearing back. Then, one day, I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra saying they liked me and the director wants to meet me. When I got the film, my initial reaction was just processing it. My mom had recently undergone surgery, and we were at the hospital for her check-up when I got the call from Mukesh sir. They liked my comic timing, and that’s how it all happened. He also told me I have a huge responsibility because so much of what happens in the film.”

Roshni on working with Ajay-Mrunal

When asked about her bond with Mrunal Thakur, Roshan shares, “It was honestly a pinch-me moment every time I sat with the entire cast and listened to their life stories. Mrunal looked after me throughout. We built such a beautiful bond on set, and especially after the shoot, we became extremely close. I genuinely mean it when I say I’ve gained a sister—she truly protects me.”

She also remembers how Ajay Devgn lighted up the set with his presence and recalls, “Ajay sir has an extremely strong yet calm presence. When he opens up to share his stories, you can’t help but be in awe. He took us out for the Deadpool movie and even took me out for dinner. He didn’t have to, but he did, and it meant so much. I would just sit there, feeling grateful that I get to be around him, watch him work, and learn from him. For me, that in itself is such a big blessing.”

Roshni Walia on dealing with trolls

The actress has several time faced negativity on social media. When prodded about her coping mechanism, she answers, “There was a time when I was trolled for something.. It did get to me. People formed a perspective about me that was never real, and that hurt. I cried for a week, I was upset, and I questioned a lot of things. I realised I couldn’t go to each person and explain myself. People will say what they want to say. You just have to keep living your life.”

Roshni is the daughter of actress Sweety Walia, who is a known face on TV. From financial predicaments to broken family, she has seen tough times since childhood. Talking about how she emotionally dealt with it, Roshni says, “Honestly, when things were happening at home, I was very young. The ones who truly faced it the most were my family, they shielded me whenever they could. Of course, some moments hurt, and certain memories you can’t erase, but I’ve always believed that every day is a new chapter. And even though my childhood had its tough moments, it was still so, so beautiful.”
