It was as glamorous as it could get at an awards function where the gliterrati turned up in full force.

Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone bagged the top honours as the night celebrated critically and commercially acclaimed films of 2015.

<img title="Ranveer Singh" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Ranveer-Singh.jpg" alt="Ranveer Singh" /> Ranveer Singh
As far as the red carpet report card goes, there were more hits than misses.
<img title="Aishwarya Rai Bachchan" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Aishwarya-Rai.jpg" alt="Aishwarya Rai Bachchan" /> Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opted for a flowy, embroidered gown and considering how ethereal she looked, one can&rsquo;t have any complaints.

<img title="Varun Dhawan" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Varun-Dhawan.jpg" alt="Varun Dhawan" /> Varun Dhawan
Sonam Kapoor proved why she owns the style diva tag when she stepped in wearing a striped midi dress with contrasting winged bust and bold red lips.

The downers came in the form of Parineeti Chopra and Athiya Shetty.
<img title="Athiya Shetty " src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Athiya-Shetty.jpg" alt="Athiya Shetty " /> Athiya Shetty
Though there wasn&rsquo;t much to fault in Athiya&rsquo;s classic black look, we wish she had taken some risks, like she usually does.
<img title="Shahid Kapoor" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Shahid-Kapoor.jpg" alt="Shahid Kapoor" /> Shahid Kapoor
<img title="Parineeti Chopra" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Parineeti-Chopra.jpg" alt="Parineeti Chopra" /> Parineeti Chopra
Pari&rsquo;s gown colour was an eye-catcher, but the overall look was far from impressive.
<img title="Sophie Choudry" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/dec/23Sophie-Choudry.jpg" alt="Sophie Choudry" /> Sophie Choudry
Among men, Ranveer Singh and Dino Morea stood out &mdash; no surprises there.
