Bollywood was taken by shock as actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence this year. In the incident, he suffered multiple stab injuries, including to his neck and back. Fortunately, none of the wounds were fatal, and the actor was back on his feet in no time. During his appearance at Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, he opened up about the incident and shared how he was trolled for walking after the surgery with trollers calling attack fake.

Host Kajol then asked, "We saw a video of you, after coming out of the hospital, actually getting out of the car and walking. And I was amazed. How did you do that?"

Saif explained his thought process and said, “When it was finished, there were some people from there. A lot of advice on how to go… The media was curious. And I kept… because nobody was listening to me. Because I said, ‘Listen, if the media is curious, we should settle it and let me just walk out of the hospital because I can walk.’ It was very bad but it was okay. They stitched it up and I was there for a week. The back was okay. It was painful to walk but I could walk. The wheelchair was not required."

“Somebody said, ‘You should go in an ambulance.’ Somebody said, ‘You should go in a wheelchair.’ And my instinct was, why create any kind of panic or worry even with family, fans, well-wishers or anyone? Just walk out to send a picture message that you’re okay," he said.

However, his decision sparked online debate, with several users calling the incident staged. Responding to the criticism, Saif said, “That was the idea but there was so much feedback on that that this is fake and that’s true, but that’s the kind of world we live in. But this is the reason I did it."

Twinkle Khanna also revealed during the chat that she had spoken to Saif’s mother, Sharmila Tagore, who too had suggested he use a wheelchair. “I told him to go in a wheelchair, why doesn’t he ever listen to me?"

On the work front, Saif and Akshay Kumar will be seen joining forces for Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan. The last leg of film’s shoot is currently underway.
