In what looks like a unprecedented move of sorts, Salman Khan is said to have worked out a deal with the music company and managed to retain the music rights of his film, 'Jai Ho', for himself.

Music rights of a film are usually acquired by the music company but word has it that earnings from Jai Ho&rsquo;s music rights won&rsquo;t be raked in by T-series in the long run. A source close to the actor says that while T-Series will release the film&rsquo;s music, its rights will remain with Salman.
T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar, however, denied the news saying that it is common practice for a production house to give them the film&rsquo;s music rights. &ldquo;For 'Jai Ho', Sohail Khan decided to give the music rights to Salmanbhai, who has now given it to us. Nothing has changed,&rdquo; he said.
Director Sohail Khan didn&rsquo;t reply to our text messages.
