Following vandalism on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati in Jaipur, industry folk rallied behind the filmmaker. However, despite the support from colleagues and fans, Bhansali, in what may be considered a submission of sorts, has promised the Rajput Karni Sena that his film will not have any 'objectionable' scenes.

Signed by Shobha Sant, CEO of Bhansali Productions, the letter states that the film will not include any romantic dream sequence or other 'objectionable' scene between Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) and Allauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh).
Lokendra Kalvi of the Karni Sena confirmed the development, and told hitlist, "Members from Bhansali's production, including Sant and Chetan Deolekar (executive producer) were present for the meeting and they have given us a letter with the modifications. Almost all our demands have been met." Kalvi, however, adds the request for tweaking the title couldn't be fulfilled. "They said it was a little too late to change the title, so we have not pressured them. My only demand, eventually, is that history shouldn't be distorted," he explains.
Bhansali's period drama revolves around Rani Padmavati the celebrated queen of Chittor, and Mughal ruler Khilji's admiration for her. The Karni Sena had attacked the producer and damaged the set and equipment, accusing him of distorting history. The team, in the letter, has said they have conducted a thorough research on the topic, and that Mewar will eventually be proud of how Padmavati showcases the revered queen.
While the unit claimed they wouldn't shoot in Rajasthan following the assault, hitlist has learnt they will return to the state soon to resume work. In the letter, Sant has requested the Karni Sena to not disrupt the shoot or damage the set henceforth.
