The &#39;Tanha Dil&#39; hitmaker is currently busy with dance reality show &#39;Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6&#39; on Colors and is being touted as one of the strong contenders. &quot;The idea of doing this show was to try something new but at the same time not become a laughing stock. I was open to dancing and wanted to groove a little but I never thought I will be competing with professional dancers. It is a difficult job because some of them are professional dancers,&quot; he added. Shaan admits the show is taking a toll on his family life and he is guilty of not spending enough time with his two children. &quot;Family life has taken a back seat. I used to always take my kids out during their summer break but this time we didn&#39;t go anywhere. So I feel very guilty about it. But they are very supportive and more than thrilled to see me perform on TV,&quot; he added. Shaan says experimenting with dancing and acting was a conscious decision as he did not want to wait for phone calls for work. &quot;By now, I have done my work as a singer, earned my respect and now to go on waiting for a phone call for next project is not my thing. I would rather be a little pro active and do things that I always wanted to do.u00a0
