Comedian Samay Raina was among the many who attended the star-studded premiere of Aryan Khan's debut directorial, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, last month. Shah Rukh Khan's son made his entry into the film industry with a Netflix web series that quickly became the talk of the town. While several celebrities and influencers turned up for the premiere, Raina stood out for his graphic T-shirt.
Samay takes a dig at Aryan Khan's case
The comedian, who has been in the news for his controversial show India’s Got Latent, wore a black T-shirt that read “Say No To Cruise.” The statement appeared to be a dig at Aryan Khan’s 2021 controversy, when he was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid on a cruise ship from Mumbai port. Aryan was later released on bail and eventually declared innocent by the court, which cleared him of all charges.

In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, actor Raghav Juyal, who closely worked with Aryan on the show The Ba***ds of Bollywood and was at the premiere, revealed how the Khan duo reacted to the t-shirt. Raghav laughed and said, “Yeh T-shirt pehen ke waha par pohcha huwa hai. Aur log has rahe hai, Aryan has raha hai, sab has rahe hai. Woh kar sakta hai, woh toh aisa hi hai na. Hum nahi kar sakte na. Pure party me aise hi ghum raha tha, T-shirt dikha dikha ke, sabko (He showed up there wearing that T-shirt, and everyone is laughing! Aryan’s laughing, the crowd’s laughing, the whole place is cracking up. But of course, he can pull it off, that’s just the kind of person he is. We couldn’t do that even if we tried. He was roaming around the entire party flaunting that T-shirt proudly, showing it off to everyone).
When asked how Shah Rukh Khan reacted to the t-shirt, Raghav said that even the superstar was laughing. "Sir ke liye toh sabhi bachche hai na yaar, sir treats everyone like a beta (You know, for Sir, everyone’s like his own kid. He treats them all like his son)," he said.
