Shahid Kapoor severs ties with his designer and long-time friend

Shahid Kapoor has bid adieu to his long time designer Shabina Khan. The one-time friends have parted ways professionally.

She was his designer for five years, and was a close friend to him and Kareena Kapoor when they were dating, and even managed to remain close to both after they separated.

Says a source, "It happened two months ago. Shabina loves to gossip and Shahid felt that a lot of personal and professional stuff about him was being passed onto Bebo and her friends.

This foru00a0 difficult for Shahid who is a very private person to accept. When things didn't change even after he cautioned her a few times, he decided to cut off from her."

The source adds that this working relationship between them had to end sooner or later as the actor was very unhappy with Shabina.

He expects loyalty from his friends and he felt that Shabina was closer to Kareena and Saif than him. The changed equations irked him but what really drove him to disconnect from her was details of his private life being discussed by her at parties and social gatherings, after she downed a few."

Things came to a head a couple of months ago when the actor confronted her. The source says, "They had a huge fight and that's when Shahid asked her to stop working with him." Even though they are not together professionally, he has known her for a long time and invited her to his birthday party last week, and she attended it.

Shabina admits, "Yes I am not doing Shahid's clothes anymore but I don't want to comment on the matter as it's personal. I will complete Ken Ghosh's film and then we go our separate ways. I did go to Shahid's birthday party last week but please note that I was there for only half an hour.

Bebo too had a party at Saif's home and I was at Bebo's party till 5 am. Kareena is like my little sister, I love her and my loyalty towards her will always be the strongest. Bebo is the sweetest, most giving friend someone can have. If she asks me to fight with someone for her I will fight first and think about it later."

Shahid Kapoor's spokesperson says, "Shabina is very much doing Ken Ghosh's film with Shahid and they share a great equation."
