Veteran actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha on Monday charged Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Government in Uttar Pradesh of looting public money meant for the welfare of the common man and development in the state.
Addressing a public rally in Uttar Pradesh''s Allahabad city, Sinha said the funds that should have been used for development work was spent on construction of statues and parks across the state.
"The funds meant for the poor, the money of the common public, funds allocated for the education of the students, the funds which should be spent on generating employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, the money which would have been used for establishing industries and which would have been used for other developmental projects, all of those funds were invested on building statues, constructing parks, and which is creating chaos among the public, so what should we do in such conditions?" he asked.
