Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha says his daughter and actress Sonakshi Sinha will emerge as a role model after the release of her forthcoming film 'Akira'.

The veteran actor, who was present at the recent screening of the film along with his wife Poonam, said: "Sonakshi has given her best to this film in terms of doing action sequences or portraying&nbsp;emotions. I was a known action hero in my time, but I have never done a film with so much dedication.
"'Akira' is a one-woman army film. I believe she will emerge as a role model with this film. Not because I am her father, but as a senior actor, I would like to say that after a long time I have seen a&nbsp;film like this."
He also heaped praise on the film's director A.R. Murugadoss.
"This is one of the best action films full of emotions I have seen in recent times. Murugadoss is a wonderful director, especially the way he projected Sonakshi's struggles and emotions... it's&nbsp;commendable," said Shatrughan.
'Akira' revolves around a college girl (Sonakshi) who comes to Mumbai from Jodhpur for her education with hopes to erase the scars of a difficult childhood.
The film will release this Friday.
