After her Big Brother win almost a decade ago, Shilpa Shetty amassed a huge fan following overseas. The numbers grew after she released a series of videos on fitness and yoga. Taking it a notch higher, the actress will conduct a fitness world tour on the lines of Karan Johar's Dream Tour and Salman Khan's Da-Bang.
During her recent trip to the US, we hear, the actress held a fitness session at the Google headquarters in California. Soon after, organisers of that show got in touch with her. "She has done stray fitness sessions during IIFA in Spain and in Burj Khalifa (Dubai) last year, too. The idea [of a fitness tour] sounded interesting. She and the organisers are currently curating a city-wise, customised show for the target enthusiasts. They are working on dates and the concept, by integrating more sessions on yoga, aerobics and even Bollywood-styled Zumba," says a source.
The four-country tour, covering US, Canada, UK and Australia, will kick off in October. Confirming the news, Shilpa tells mid-day, "The organisers heard about the tour I did in the US recently and approached me with this concept. I loved the idea of doing a fitness world tour since it allows me to meet and share my fitness mantra with people of different cultures and nationalities, also facilitating a healthy exchange of ideas. Fitness and wellness today are priority and almost everyone wants to adopt a healthy lifestyle. We are working on the dates and discussing ways to make this tour interactive and interesting."
