Was Sunny Leone paid more than the Bigg Boss winner? Is she still the most searched person on Google? Does she prefer living in India over the US? In our latest Sit With Hitlist episode, the Kennedy star opens up about her life and showbiz career in India, her political beliefs, and if talking about sex is normalized in India.

“When I go out to go meet people, we don’t go, hey, let’s talk about sex!” she told Mid-day’s Mayank Shekhar.

Her showbiz journey in India began with Bigg Boss 5. It was said that when the makers called her to the Bigg Boss house, Sunny was paid more than the winner’s fees. The actress couldn’t confirm or deny that, but she said she took up the show because, in her her head, “it was a down payment on a house.”

Then director filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt went into the Bigg Boss house and offered her a film. “I didn’t think that was real, I didn’t even know who he was,” Sunny said.

She also had no idea about the level of popularity she had in India till she landed here. “We landed here and it was like, whoa. The security guys at the airport had to make a human chain, it was insane.”

Sunny also talked about the adult entertainment industry in the US. When we mentioned a statement by Mia Khalifa referring to the adult film industry as extremely exploitative, Sunny said, “I worked with the best of the best people. I have no horror stories.”

The conversation also veered towards her relationship with comedian Russell Peters. When asked how long they were dating, she revealed, “For like a hot second.”

The actress has spent over 10 years in Bollywood now and prefers Mumbai to any other city in the world. “I have an American accent but I am so Indian. I live in this buzz of Mumbai, I love it. I have no interest in the US. My husband hates it when I say this.”

But it must be more hard for him? Sunny clarified, “He is more desi than I am. Sometimes he’ll say ‘time pass’, that only happens here…”

She also defended her support for Donald Trump in 2016. “Let me just ask you about one of the last things that Biden did. Do you agree with that? Do you agree with what’s happening between him and his son, and having sex with underage women, and not being indicted for it, but being indicted for tax fraud. Is this correct?”
