Sridevi worked in my 1986 film Karma. She was pure magic on screen. She was not one of the finest actors, but the finest one Indian cinema had since 1985. She was a quiet lady who had a bundle of talent. She could shock directors. She was upheld as the queen of acting in all languages. She was a dedicated homemaker, a great mother and the perfect host. She maintained her dignity and integrity as an actor, and a person, in this demanding industry. Her work on screen will be written in textbooks.
