Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga who is three films old has managed to court controversy for each of his films. His latest release, 'Animal' starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead was one of the most controversial films of 2023. The filmmaker in his recent interviews has been reacting to his naysayers and also expressing his interest in collaborating with other stars from the films industry. In several interviews, Vanga has expressed interest in directing superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview she spoke bout his first meeting with the 'Pathaan' star.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed his wish to work with King Khan. "I want to work with Shah Rukh sir. Definitely. Chance mil gaya toh," he said. Last year, the filmmaker met Shah Rukh Khan in person for the first time, and the video of the same had gone viral. When he was asked about what he told the superstar during their meet, he shared, “It was great seeing you sir. Pehli baar dekh raha hu. Parde pe dekha tha. Live pehli baar dekh raha hu. Yehi bolunga na? Yehi bola tha (“It was great seeing you sir. I am seeing [you] for the first time. I had seen [you] on the screen. I am seeing [you] live for the first time. This is what I will say, no? This is what [I] said."

The filmmaker had added, “We did not speak about it (Sandeep’s films). He saw the teaser, he liked the teaser. I showed him the teaser in the office, he had come during Ganpati.”
Collaboration with Kangana Ranaut:
Not just SRK, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently expressed his interest in collaborating with actress Kangana Ranaut as well. However, the 'Tejas' actress is not keen on the same. Kangana was among the critics of the film 'Animal' who spoke against it. Recently, a clip of Sandeep Reddy Vanga reacting to Kangana's take on the film went viral.
In the video, Sandeep was asked if he would be open to working with Kangana Ranaut despite her giving a negative review to his latest release, 'Animal'. "If I get a chance, if I feel she will fit into it, I will go and narrate the story. I have seen a lot of her films, and I like her performances. So if she is giving a negative comment about Animal, I don’t mind. I don’t get angry also," he said,
Kangana reacted to his comment with a post on X. She wrote in Hindi, “Review and criticism are not the same, every kind of art should be reviewed and discussed, it is a normal thing. The way Sandeep ji showed respect towards me by smiling at my review, it can be said that he not only makes manly films, his attitude is also manly, thank you sir .”
However, she added, “But please don’t ever give me any role otherwise your alpha male heroes will become feminist and then your films will also be beaten, you make blockbusters, the film industry needs you .”
