Abhishek Kapoor, the director of the film, told IANS: "Sushant Singh plays Ishaan in the film who is a local icon - someone who made a name for himself playing cricket. Sushant went through intensive cricket training for the role in 'Kai Po Che!' and is a very good cricketer."
