In her stirring video message, Mirza reflects on her relentless pursuit of excellence, from shattering gender barriers in the world of professional tennis to embracing motherhood amidst skepticism. She boldly declares, "No matter what happens, I am alone enough," embodying the indomitable spirit at the core of both her personal journey and the film's narrative.

To amplify the message of empowerment and resilience, Mirza has taken to social media, captioning her video with the hashtags #AkelliKaafiHoon and #AkelliOnJioCinema. Her collaboration with "Akelli" underscores the importance of celebrating female strength and diversity in storytelling, fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.

The collaboration between Sania Mirza and "Akelli" represents a powerful convergence of sports, entertainment, and advocacy, amplifying the voices of women and inspiring a new generation to embrace their inherent strength and resilience.

Six-time Grand Slam champion Sania Mirza married former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010. The couple announced the birth of their son, Izhaan, in 2018. Earlier this year, it was reported that the two have parted ways. The news came after Malik tied the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed.

Meanwhile, Nushrratt Bharuccha's survival drama movie "Akelli" is now available for streaming on JioCinema. Described as a story of "resilience, courage, and the indomitable human spirit", the movie is directed by first-time filmmaker Pranay Meshram and was released in theatres worldwide in August 2023. In the movie, Bharuccha plays the role of Jyoti, who finds herself struggling for survival after ISIS militants invade the city where she had hoped to start a new chapter.

"Akelli" also features Nishant Dahiya, Rajesh Jais, Amir Boutrous, and Tsahi Halevi in pivotal roles.
