Since Maddock Films revealed their new horror-comedy, Thamma, fans have been impatiently awaiting the trailer. The much-anticipated trailer for Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film has finally been released, and fans are raving.

The makers of 'Thamma' released the film's trailer on Friday at a ceremony in Mumbai. The film, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Rashmika Mandanna, is based on a "forgotten legend from our folklore" and follows two characters as they navigate love and stories that are beyond a layman's grasp. Paresh Rawal plays Ayushmann's father, which is a comically essential role.

About Thamma's trailer with Ayushmann, Nawazuddin and Rashmika

In Thamma, Ayushmann Khurrana plays an average Joe who, via a series of unfortunate events, crosses paths with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a betaal imprisoned for 1000 years for plotting to destroy humanity. Ayushmann transforms into a betaal and must now adapt to his new lifestyle with the help of Rashmika Mandanna. However, the transition isn't too difficult because Ayushmann enjoys his newfound abilities.

However, things for the pair go wrong when Nawazuddin seeks vengeance for his confinement by returning to his initial aim of killing mankind.

The CGI in Thamma's trailer is consistent with the premise and quality of past Maddock Horror Comedy flicks, yet the film has something unique to it. For the first time in the universe, there is a love story at the heart of the picture, and part of the struggle with Nawazuddin is about rescuing their (Ayushmann-Rashmika) love.

All about the horror-comedy Thamma by Maddock Films

'Thamma' is the fifth installment in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, with a focus on folklore and mythical entities. The trailer heightens the anticipation for India's first and only horror-comedy universe, especially given the previous films' steady popularity. The makers are dubbing 'Thamma' the first out-and-out love tale in the franchise, while simultaneously continuing the tradition of tackling a social problem, as seen in 'Stree', 'Stree 2', 'Munjya', and 'Bhediya'.

Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik produced 'Thamma,' and Aditya Sarpotdar directed it, having previously directed 'Munjya' from the same horror-comedy world. It will premiere on October 21.
