Sameer Wankhede and Aryan Khan
Aryan Khan's directorial debut, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, has finally been released. The series started streaming on Netflix on Thursday, September 18. Given the hype and excitement around the series, many fans have started watching the show and are sharing their reviews online. In the first episode, viewers couldn't help but notice a sly dig taken by Aryan Khan at Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede, who once handled his alleged drug case.
Did Aryan Khan create a spoof of Sameer Wankhede?
Users on X (formerly Twitter) shared clips of the scene on the microblogging platform. In the scene, it is seen how an officer arrives at a party and sees a guy smoking a joint. However, when he comes to know that the guy is not from Bollywood, he gets annoyed. Frustrated, the officer arrests another guy who is simply standing there and drinking, and not involved in drugs. However, he is arrested just because he is from Bollywood.

Aryan Khan's alleged drug case
For the unversed, Aryan Khan was arrested on 3 October 2021, along with six others, by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid on an alleged rave party on the Cordelia Empress cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. The initial investigation was led by NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede. Aryan was held in judicial custody at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail for over three weeks as multiple bail applications were denied. Eventually, on October 28, 2021, the Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan Khan.
Later, in May 2022, he was cleared of all charges. However, Sameer Wankhede was later charged with corruption and extortion in connection with the case, with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) alleging that the drug charges were part of a false scheme to blackmail the Khan family.
