Actress Asin may not have featured in the movies or made public appearances at filmy event in quite some time, but the actress is not one to be forgotten. Her Hindi debut with Ghajini left quite a mark on the audience.
Asin made her debut in the South Indian film industry and quickly rose to prominence with her remarkable acting skills. She made her acting debut at the age of 15 with Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film, "Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka" (2001). Asin had her first commercial success with the Telugu film "Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi" in 2003.

Post 'Ghajini', Asin worked with several Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, etc. While she had a short stint in the industry, it was quite an impactful one. After her marriage with Rahul Sharma, the actress left the industry to focus on her family.
But did you know it was actor Akshay Kumar who played cupid in Asin's life. Asin and Rahul met for the first time while on their way to Dhaka in Bangladesh for the promotions of their film 'Housefull 2' that also starred Akshay Kumar. In an interview long back, Asin revealed that it was Kumar who suggested that she and Rahul date. Rahul and Akshay had been friends for years. After their short stint during the flight, both Rahul and Asin met each other again and the rest is history. Rahul Sharma is the founder of YV Televentured and co-founder of Micromax Informatics.
According to reports, Rahul proposed to Asin at a fancy hotel in Delhi with a diamond solitaire. They got married in a grand ceremony in 2016. A year later, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl whom they named Arin Rayn.
While the couple have a life away from the limelight, earlier in June this year there were rumours of the couple heading for a divorce. Asin deleting her images from social media with Rahul sparked the rumours, with the exception of one from her Instagram account. However, the former actress quickly dismissed the rumours with a post on her Instagram stories, ""In the middle of our summer holiday right now, literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless 'NEWS'. Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up (laughing emoji) Seriously?! Pls do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5mins of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys."
